    AR Awareness Poster

Augmented Reality, Motion Design, Campaign

This project challenges and critically examines the issue of mass consumption of discarded objects as a result of these celebratory rituals. Real experiences were analysed - from simplistic gatherings to Kardashian parties. From $0 to $90,000 there is a wide range of budgets - and wastage - that comes with hosting a baby shower. While not every shower is this extreme with the wastage, it is still a celebrity ritual that generates waste to some degree: from plastic cutlery to wrapping paper to balloons.

Design Process

In this project, Adobe Illustrator was selected for the illustrations, as this style is vector art. While digital drawings and Photoshop could also be used, I wanted to push myself out of my comfort zone and create vector art: something I've been wanting to explore for quite some time. To animate the gif, the app Eye-Jack was selected as it is a great platform for designing and uploading AR animations. It is easy to use and provides a QR code for any viewer to scan to see the poster come to life.
